Privacy and document metadata

We never collect personally identifiable information (PII) from scanned documents or cards in our analytics.

What about document metadata?

We collect information about the document to allow you to have insights into where and how the SDK is used. For example, if a particular type of document has a worse pass rate than other documents, you (and we) can be aware of that, and issue patches faster.

We do not count this information as personally identifiable, as it cannot be used by us to pinpoint any individual.

The information in this category that we collect is:

• document country
• document region
• document type (for example passport, ID card, etc.)
