These are docs for the legacy self-hosted extraction API.

If you're deploying on your own infrastructure for the first time, start with the on-prem documentation instead.

Self-hosted API currently supports basic authentication. To enable it set docker environemnt variable ENABLE_SECURITY to true, and provide BASIC_AUTH_USERNAME and BASIC_AUTH_PASSWORD environment variables.

After setup all recognition endpoints require Authentication header in form:

Authorization: 'Basic ' + Base64.encode(username + ':' + password)
